- Subscribe and install — Subscribe for $20/month or $200/year. Download the macOS app from your account page and sign in to reach the canvas in about two minutes.
- Bring your agents — Run Claude Code or Codex in real terminal nodes using your provider accounts or API keys. Arrange the agents and add notes or task cards for the work you want to share.
- Host, admit, and conduct — Share your workspace and admit teammates with an explicit role. Conduct while a teammate reviews, or grant access to a specific terminal so they can help an agent waiting for input.
FAQ
How is this different from screen sharing?
SpeakCode replicates workspace state. Guests get real, crisp terminals and a real canvas, rather than a video of the host's screen. The host remains authoritative over the shared workspace.
What can a guest do, and who controls access?
The host admits joiners from a waiting room with an explicit role. Editors can edit the workspace, viewers can watch, and blocked users cannot access it; these roles are enforced on the host. Typing into a terminal additionally requires a per-terminal grant from the host; an editor role alone does not grant terminal typing access.
Can teammates join over the internet?
Sharing works over the local network out of the box. For internet sessions, both sides point the app at a realtime backend you host: LiveKit plus a token service, configured under Settings → Collaboration.
Is there a free trial, and how do I cancel?
There is no free trial; one plan includes every feature for $20/month or $200/year, with two months free on annual billing, approximately $16.67/month. Payments run through Stripe and subscriptions auto-renew; cancel renewal anytime from the account page through the Stripe billing portal. Access continues until the end of your paid period; prepaid time is not refunded.
Which operating systems does SpeakCode support?
SpeakCode is a native macOS app for macOS 26 or later. It is not available for Windows or Linux.
