How it works
- Subscribe and install on your Mac — Choose $20/month or $200/year, with every feature included. Download from your account page and sign in; you can be on the canvas in about two minutes.
- Bring your Claude Code sessions — Launch Claude Code in real terminal nodes with your own Anthropic account or API key. Keep your CLAUDE.md, settings and MCP servers, and add Codex alongside it.
- Conduct from the canvas — Arrange your sessions beside their notes and task cards. Check the agent inbox for waiting sessions, connect hand-offs with belts, and share the workspace live with teammates.
FAQ
How is this different from Anthropic's Claude Code desktop app?
Anthropic’s official Claude Code desktop app runs sessions side by side and has visual diffs. In SpeakCode, you arrange sessions on an infinite spatial canvas alongside notes, editors, browsers and task cards. You also get an agent inbox, belts for hand-offs, Codex on the same canvas, and live multiplayer. You keep using Claude Code itself, hosted in real terminals.
Do I still need my Claude subscription or API key?
Yes. You bring your own Anthropic account with your Claude subscription or API key. Your SpeakCode subscription covers the app; AI usage is billed by your provider. The same applies when you bring Codex.
Is there a free trial?
No. You pay $20/month or $200/year for one plan with every feature included. Your subscription auto-renews. You can cancel renewal anytime from the account page through the Stripe billing portal. Your access continues to the end of the paid period; prepaid time is not refunded.
Does it work with my CLAUDE.md, hooks and MCP servers?
Yes. You use the real Claude Code CLI in a real terminal, so you keep your CLAUDE.md, settings, hooks and MCP servers. SpeakCode detects turn completion, input requests and exits without configuration. Opt into Claude Code’s Stop/Notification hooks to make status exact. You can also see the terminal’s permission mode as a chip on its card.
Is SpeakCode available only on macOS?
Yes. You need macOS 26 or later to run the native app. SpeakCode is not available for Windows or Linux.
